The complexity of an entity is not a coincidence. Everything evolves alongside everything else, filling niches. The traits most helpful for survival are likeliest to be propagated onward–survival of the fittest. For the most part, humans do not seem to recall other lifetimes they have lived, and the capability does not seem to be advantageous for survival. If this is so, then a disadvantage of memories between Fifth Coordinates could be devaluation of the current biological form. Would we fight so hard for survival if we knew we were returning? That we already coexist with our other selves, including that which predate us?
Perhaps we haven’t evolved this capacity in humanity yet because the randomness of traits hasn’t presented itself enough. Our universe is not so terribly old. There is a possibility past life memory has evolved in other life more complex than ours–though who is to say other Earth life (say, dolphins) doesn’t have this? Many things must be taught, but instinct is also very strong. And how do butterflies recall a caterpillar’s life after fully emulsifying in the cocoon? Humans are not the apex of existence, after all.
Some humans do claim past life memory. It’s possible that no current recollection of former Fifth Coordinates doesn’t mean I won’t remember this current life in a different one.
- “Past” life wouldn’t indicate chronology, but an “earlier” Fifth Coordinate
- Memory isn’t meant to be computer file-like recall. It’s how we learn things. We may have past life memories already that aren’t recollections but influence us anyway.
- How much of childhood/earlier years do we remember in THIS life?
- We mostly remember distinct experiences.
