A catch-all term for everything outside of The Sleeper’s main culture of origin, which is nihilistic materialist atheism. Anything resembling religion or spirituality–or anything unverifiable by science, which cannot be communicated by pop science–can fit under the Midnight belief umbrella. This is an arbitrary name selected based on the Midnight Journal theme.
